Services reserved for patients registered to the clinic

Nurse Practitioner
Our Clinic is proud to have four Nurse Practitioners (NPs) contributing to the growth of our GMFs. We have seen a great benefit to patient care since the integration of our Nurse Practitioners. Nurse Practitioners assume responsibility for tasks related to physical assessment, provision of clinical impressions, treatment for short-term acute illness, monitoring patients with stable chronic conditions, order testing and organize referrals.

Nursing Services
Our clinics have nurse clinicians and nurse assistants participating in the care of our patients. Doctors work in collaboration with our nursing team to offer services covering a variety of health problems such as diabetes, hypertension and cholesterol. Nurses also offer counseling and teaching for sexually transmitted infections, contraception and child development (0-5 years old).

Mental Health
In any given year, one in five people in Canada will experience a mental health problem or illness. Our registered patients benefit from our mental health team consisting of social workers that work alongside their family physician.

Nutrition
The nutritionist intervenes on aspects related to nutrition and diet. Their interventions cover promotion, prevention, evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation. The nutritionist aims to maintain, improve or restore nutritional status and health.

Menopause Clinic
Our Menopause Clinic provides specialized care and support for women experiencing perimenopause and menopause. Our multidisciplinary team offers personalized treatment plans to help manage symptoms such as hot flashes, sleep disturbances, mood changes, and hormonal imbalances. We offer a range of treatment options, including Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) when appropriate, to support each woman's individual needs. Our goal is to empower women with education, resources, and medical support to navigate this natural life stage with confidence and comfort.

Pharmacist
Our team of GMF pharmacists assesses and ensures the correct use of medication. Our patients benefit from the interaction with pharmacists and support from our professionals in drug treatment. The pharmacist practicing in an interprofessional team can have a favorable impact on the use of drugs(prescription, dosage adjustment, compliance, etc.).
